Leader of France's right-wing National Front (NF) party Marine Le Pen blamed on Monday her country's authorities for failure to protect its citizens in the wake of a deadly attack on a police couple.

Killer of Paris Policeman Had 'Target List' of Public Figures, Reporters
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Monday evening, a 25-year-old French citizen of the Moroccan descent, Larossi Abballa, stabbed to death his neighbors, a police officer and his wife.

The following day, Paris prosecutor said the man pledged allegiance to Daesh terrorist group. The murderer was killed by riot police.

"The government does not protect French people. They do not really fight against fundamentalism," Le Pen wrote on her Facebook page.

According to the French prosecutor, the killer of the Paris police officer and his wife had a "target list" of journalists and public figures.
