MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Lavrov stressed the importance of the prompt separation of the US-oriented Syrian anti-government forces from Nusra Front, which had ties with al-Qaeda and was carrying out attacks under the disguise of the so-called moderate opposition.
"The situation in Syria, including the possibility of the Russian-US interaction in the fight against terrorist organizations operating there, has been discussed," the ministry said in a statement.
The provision of supplies for the terrorists through the border with Turkey is unacceptable, the Russian foreign minister noted.
The talks have been held on the US initiative.
