Russian Proton-M With US Intelsat Satellite Launched From Baikonur
07:36 GMT 09.06.2016 (Updated: 11:00 GMT 06.08.2022) The Russian Proton-M rocket carrying a US Intelsat DLA-2 satellite was successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on Thursday, a Roscosmos spokesman said.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The launch was initially set to take place on Wednesday but was postponed for technical reasons.
"The Proton launch took place at the estimated time, 10:10 MSK [07:10 GMT]," the spokesman told RIA Novosti.
The satellite and a Briz-M upper stage have now separated from the Proton carrier.
