About ten remote-controlled ground-based reconnaissance robotic platforms took part in the testing program.
The military specialists erected an 800-meters long specialized obstacle course in order to better assess the robots’ capabilities.
The robots are capable of scouting terrain, infiltrating buildings as well as detecting and defusing explosive devices. According to Defense Ministry officials, the units taking part in the tests weigh from 15 to 100 kilograms, and all of them were developed by Russian military-industrial contractors.
