This comes a week after Taliban militants carried out two separate attacks on civilian transport in Afghanistan.

The first incident occurred on May 30 in Kunduz province where the Taliban gunmen removed about 200 people from buses and mistreated the passengers trying to reveal whether somebody of them had connections to the government or security forces. Most people were released but 12 people were killed by the militants. The fate of eight more people remains unknown.

Another attack was committed in the northern province of Saripul on June 1, where the terrorists abducted 25 people travelling in two vehicles.
