The group reportedly requested assistance on Thursday evening, while participating in climbing training that some members were having difficulty with. They were not expected to stay in the area overnight.
The area has little mobile phone service, which the Division of Fire Prevention and Control has asserted may make their efforts to find the group difficult. They have deployed 43 park personnel as well as helicopter operations.
