EEU Works on Free Trade Zone With Serbia - Kremlin

The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) adopted a package of documents setting common marcoeconomic targets and kicking off talks on free trade zone with Serbia, the Kremlin said in a statement Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The list of regulations adopted at the council's meeting in Astana also concerns the free trade deal with Vietnam entering into force and building the EEU common oil and gas market.

The EEU is an economic integration bloc on the post-Soviet space succeeding the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in January 2015. Later in 2015, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan joined the EEU. The bloc coordinates policies of its member states in key industries. The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is the EEU chief executive body comprising presidents of the member states.
