Russia Welcomes Jordanian Efforts to Stabilize Middle East
23:28 GMT 30.05.2016 (Updated: 08:00 GMT 06.08.2022) Moscow appreciates Amman's steps toward peace and stability in the Middle East, the speaker of Russia’s lower house of parliament, the State Duma, Sergei Naryshkin told the chairman of the Jordanian parliament, Faisal Akef Fayez, at a bilateral meeting.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The speaker added that Russian and Jordanian military agreed to coordinate operations in
Syria, including of the
Russian Aerospace Forces.
"Jordan plays an important stabilizing role in the Middle East, which remains at the center of global political events," Naryshkin said Monday, as quoted on the State Duma's Twitter.
Naryshkin stressed that Moscow was ready to meet Amman's firm commitment to expand bilateral cooperation in all areas.
