A Minimum Income and Maximum Infrastructure?

A Minimum Income and Maximum Infrastructure?
Subscribe
On today's BradCast, guest hosted by Angie Coiro of In Deep Radio, we look into new experiments with basic minimum income; find agreement between a liberal economic analyst and Larry Summers(!); then ask two historians if there's anything to all those Trump/Hitler analogies (hint: yes).

Dave Johnson from Campaign for America's Future and Seeing the Forest explains Finland and Ontario's experiments with a universal (aka "basic") minimum income and discusses how it might (or might not), be possible for the U.S. But the real surprise comes when we move on to discussion of funding infrastructure improvements, and he — gasp! — finds common ground with former U.S. Treasury Secretary Larry Summers. Then we hear from Professors Edith Sheffer of Stanford, and San Francisco State University's Charles Postel. In excerpts from a live In Deep Radio event taped in March, the historians take on the oft-heard comparisons of Donald Trump to Adolph Hitler. Turns out, when you strip away the typical Godwin's Law detritus, there's really a there there.
