MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Al Nabaa TV channel, the command loyal to Libya's Government of National Accord claimed that Sualim had died in the vicinity of Abu Grain near the city of Sirte where fights against terrorists had recently resumed. The ex-minister took part in the anti-terror operation as a military commander.

Sualim took office as Libya's Minister of Labor and Retraining in 2012-2014.

Daesh, which is outlawed in Russia, boasts 6,000 fighters in Libya, according to US intelligence estimates.
