MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A bus fell in a gorge in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh on Friday, killing at least 15 passengers and leaving 30 more injured, local media reported.
The incident occurred in the Chamba district after, according to survivors cited by the Hindustan Times daily, the driver lost control over the wheel as he was talking on his mobile phone.
The district’s administration is reported to have given about $150 immediate relief for families of the victims and around $75 to injured passengers.
