India’s Prime Minister congratulated Afghanistan President on his birthday Thursday. Earlier, Modi had tweeted his greetings on the wrong date.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on his birthday, this time on the correct date, noting he had got it right this time.

Previously Modi had mistakenly greeted Ghani on the wrong date, February 12.

President Ghani thanked him for his "gracious words" but gently corrected him, saying his birthday falls on May 19 and not February 12.

This mistake was followed by a number of tweets trolling PM Modi and blaming Google for getting the date wrong.
