Crimea Court Rules Mejlis Tatar Organization Extremist, Bans it in Russia
SIMFEROPOL (Sputnik) — The European Parliament on Thursday called on the European Union member states to fund Mejlis’ activities outside Russia and impose sanctions on those responsible for banning the organization.

"At a time when the entire world is fighting extremism and terrorism, I have no words to comment on the European Parliament’s selective attitude. The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People is an extremist organization, this has been proven and ruled on in court. All the necessary evidence was submitted," she told RIA Novosti.

Mejlis actively cooperates with various organizations recognized as terrorist groups globally, like Hizb ut-Tahrir, she stressed.

The Crimean Supreme Court on April 26 ruled that the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People is an extremist organization, and outlawed it in Russia, in response to a case filed by Poklonskaya.
