Public places of several Czech cities are evacuated on Tuesday, Police Presidium spokeswoman Marketa Janovska said.

PRAGUE (Sputnik) — Railway stations and public places were evacuated on Tuesday in several Czech cities, including Prague, following a series of anonymous reports of possible impending attacks in over a dozen locations across the country, Police Presidium spokeswoman Marketa Janovska said.

"An anonymous person informed us by telephone that there were bombs at Prague's main railway station and other locations in the Czech republic… Not only the police [service] received this information… We will not specify what concrete measures were taken and exact locations for tactical reasons," Janovska was quoted by the Aktualne Spravy newspaper as saying, confirming that there are over a dozen locations that could be under threat.

According to local media reports, some public locations in the Czech cities of Pardubice and Plzen were also reported to be the subjects of bomb threats. According to reports, the main railway stations in these cities, as well as some municipal buildings, have been completely evacuated, while a number of train lines are operating with major delays.
