Stunning Whale Emerges Out of the Blue and Shows Bubblenet Technique

Subscribe
An enormous beautiful humpback whale breached water and gaped its mouth just feet from docked boats in Southern Alaska.

The creature emerged so close to the dock that it is possible to see barnacles encrusted on its skin. The humpback whale eats mostly krill and small fish. After noticing the prey, the whale blows a ring of bubbles to encircle and catch them near the surface. This pattern is called a "bubblenet" technique.
