GORKI (Sputnik) — Algeria could cooperate with Russian energy giant Gazprom on the extraction of shale gas, Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said Wednesday.
"Gazprom has certain plans for cooperation with us. We are considering shale gas development. Algeria is the second or third country when it comes to shale gas volumes, and we can really find a way to cooperate in this field," Sellal said at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.
