The Cologne Bonn airport's secret emergency plan was publicly available on the airport's website for months, local media said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The 230-page plan, containing emergency instructions to be applied in cases of natural disasters, air disasters, terrorist attacks, hostage situations and bomb threats had been available on the airport's website since November 2015 until recently, the ZDF public broadcaster reported.

The plan was removed from the public domain by the airport's authorities after the broadcaster sent and inquiry to the airport over the matter.

An airport spokesman commented the matter, stating that only an extract containing general information had been made public, and no sensitive information on emergency measures was leaked.

Security at European airports has been under increased scrutiny in the wake of the March 22 terrorist attacks in Belgium, which targeted unsecured locations at a Brussels train station and the perimeter of the Zaventem airport and together killed over 30 people and injured hundreds of others.
