Astrophysicist Stephen Hawking has confirmed he wants to appear on reality television show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians'.

The accomplished scientist, well-known for his lifetime of achievements in the world of science, has revealed that he has but one more goal on his bucket list and that is to appear on US hit reality show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians'.

Hawking, 74 doesn't feel like he has truly made it as a pop culture icon unless he appears alongside Kim Kardashian and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe in the show.

'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' (KUWTK) is an American reality television series that airs on the E! cable network. The show focuses on the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian-Jenner blended family.

The hit show draws in millions of viewers each week and has set the premise for many other Kardashian projects, such as spin off shows such as 'Kourtney and Kim Take New York', 'Kourtney and Kim Take Miami' and 'Khloe and Lamar'. The Kardashian brand also includes their DASH clothing stores.

It is estimated that the family are worth US$300 million and the numbers are only rising.

Stephen Hawking, previously a professor of mathematics at the University of Cambridge and author of international bestseller, 'A Brief History of Time', is famous for his scientific works on black holes and the theory of cosmology.

However, for all the famous, inspiring and influential work he has done, he still believes that there is something missing.

"I won't feel like a true pop culture icon until I've been on the Kardashians," Hawking told ABC News.

This would not be the first time the world famous scientist has appeared playing himself on a popular TV show. Hawking has been in The Big Bang Theory as well as The Simpsons.

However for some of his fans, this recent desire to star alongside the Kardashians may seem like a long way from home.
