Russian President Vladimir Putin during his traditional Q&A session on Thursday have npt refused the possibility to spend his holidays in Crimea.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin during his traditional Q&A session on Thursday announced his intention to travel to Crimea for holidays.

Putin is holding his 14th Q&A session on Thursday. Six Russian channels and broadcasters are transmitting the Direct Line, according to the presidential website.

"I haven't thought about that yet but I will definitely come to Crimea, maybe for a couple of days, including with a purpose to rest [there]," the Russian president said, answering a question from the construction site of a bridge over the Kerch Strait connecting Russia's mainland and the Crimean Peninsula.

Crimea seceded from Ukraine and rejoined Russia following a referendum in March 2014, in which 96 percent of those who voted supported the move. The Ukrainian government and many Western nations refused to recognize the legality of the vote and introduced sanctions against the region and Russia.
