WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States and its allies targeted sites Daesh near two towns in Syria and seven positions in Iraq on Tuesday, the US Central Command said in a press release.

“In Syria, coalition military forces conducted two strikes using attack and fighter aircraft against ISIL [Daesh] targets. Additionally in Iraq, Coalition military forces conducted seven strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq,” the release said on Wednesday.

Reports of damage near Tal Afar, however, were inconclusive, the report noted.
