MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the Swiss foreign minister, Moscow and Bern have very active contacts between various ministries, including the emergency and foreign offices.
"Indeed, Swiss-Russian bilateral ties are characterized by stability. We always expand the areas of cooperation and this stability is especially important in times of instability," Didier Burkhalter said.
For instance, the Russian Emergencies Ministry is helping Switzerland deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine’s war-torn eastern regions.
Lavrov confirmed that Swiss-Russian relations were developing steadily. He said that these ties should be advanced on various levels, including on the level of lawmakers and foreign ministries.
