Bernie Sanders enjoys 38 percent of voters support against Hillary Clinton’s 56 percent and Republican frontrunner Trump lost 8 percent of support to Senator Ted Cruz, he gained 56 points against senator’s 22 points ahead of a primary election in New York State, according to the poll.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Democratic and Republican frontrunners Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have started to lose their leading positions ahead of a primary election in New York State, an Emerson College poll revealed on Friday.

"Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has gained significant ground on Hillary Clinton in the upcoming New York primary, shaving off 30 points from the massive lead Clinton held in New York just three weeks ago," Emerson College stated.

Make No Mistake, Trump is the Next American President
At present, Sanders enjoys 38 percent of voters support against Clinton’s 56 percent. In March, Clinton was leading with 71 points, according to the poll.

In addition, Republican frontrunner Trump lost 8 percent of support to Senator Ted Cruz. The real estate has gained 56 points against senator’s 22 points.

The New York primary election is scheduled for April 19.
