WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Residents of the US state of Wisconsin, which is hosting presidential primary elections on Tuesday, have spent more time looking for information about Senator Bernie Sanders than other candidates, Google said in a Twitter message.

Google noted that Sanders holds 70 percent of searches in Wisconsin, compared to 30 percent held by his Democratic competitor and former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Among Republican candidates, Google added, Senator Ted Cruz is ahead of businessman Donald Trump in the number of searches.

The Wisconsin primary will close on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. eastern time (1:00 a.m. GMT on Wednesday).
