Chocks Away! Russia and Egypt Get Down to Solving Air Security Issues
Airport safety in Egypt has come to the forefront following the deadly crash of a Russia-operated plane last fall and a hijacking scare last week.

Russia, the United Kingdom and other countries imposed a ban on flights to and from Egypt after an Airbus A321 crashed en route from the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg on October 31, killing all 224 people on board. Russia’s Federal Security Service said a terrorist attack had caused the tragedy.

A spokesman for the Egyptian ministry has said a Russian delegation was to carry out its final inspection of the country’s airports in April.
