The IMF approved a four-year $17.5 billion support program in March 2015, with the first $5 billion transferred the same month. A second tranche of $1.7 billion was approved in July-August.

A third disbursement has been stalled over an ongoing political crisis in Ukraine that threatened a collapse of the ruling cabinet after a failed no-confidence vote that nearly forced its prime minister out of office.
