MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Iceberg and Rassvet small missile ships arrived at the Northern Fleet's combat training ranges on Thursday to practice firing at sea and air targets, the fleet’s spokesman said.
"During the drill, the crews of small missile ships will carry out practical firing at air and sea targets. Servicemen will also carry out exercises on intercommunication, will practice elements of joint ships maneuvering, as well as crew and emergency parties' actions in combat for the ship's survival on the move," Vadim Serga said.
Serga added that the crews would practice fighting enemy surface ships during intense maneuvering.
The vessels are equipped with 6 Malakhit medium range anti-ship missiles, AK-176 76mm artillery systems and AK-630 rapid-firing small-caliber antiaircraft artillery systems, as well as with the Osa-MA air defense missile complex.
