MOSCOW, March 31 (Sputnik) – The initiative by the Ukrainian authorities to cut off diplomatic relations with Russia is “on the border of craziness,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.
“Let’s wait and see after the final review whether the Rada [Ukrainian Parliament] either makes the decision or doesn’t. Of course, various initiatives on the border of craziness are unfortunately not rare in Kiev lately, so I wouldn’t really want to comment right now,” Peskov told journalists.
On Wednesday, a Ukrainian lawmaker said that the Foreign Relations Committee in the Rada supported the initiative to sever diplomatic ties with Russia.
