Fuel Leak Forces EgyptAir Plane to Land in Sharm el-Sheikh

A fuel leak aboard a Cairo-bound EgyptAir plane from Abu Dhabi forced its emergency landing in the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, an airport source told RIA Novosti on Thursday.

CAIRO (Sputnik) – It was added that the passengers would continue their journey to the Egyptian capital aboard another plane "in the coming hours."

"The plane, on a flight from Abu Dhabi to Cairo, suffered a technical problem and began leaking fuel in the air. The plane made an emergency landing in Sharm el-Sheikh, there were no injuries," the source said.
