Nineteen Oil Companies Receive $679Mln to Supply US Army With Fuel

The US Defense Logistics Agency has awarded more than two thirds of a billion dollars in contracts to 19 oil-producing, refining and service energy companies to supply fuel to the US military, the Department of Defense announced.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The companies included Equilon Enterprises, doing business as Shell Oil Products US; Phillips 66 Co.; Placid Refining; ExxonMobil Fuels Lubricants and Specialties Marketing; Petromax Refining and Wynnewood Energy, the Defense Department stated.

Under the instruction of a U.S. Soldier, an Indian Army soldier fires a Javelin missile as part of Yudh Abhyas, a bilateral training exercise designed to develop and expand upon the relationship between the two armies. - Sputnik International

Other contracts went to Sugar Land, Lazarus Energy Holdings, Tesoro Refining and Marketing Company and Alon USA — all in the state of Texas, the announcement noted.

“[The companies] have each been awarded a… contract… for various types of fuel,” the announcement said on Tuesday.
