On Tuesday, Dinamo Krasnodar participated in the match with Turkish Galatasaray in the city of Istanbul. Following the match, Dinamo's Tatyana Kosheleva complained of behavior of Galatasaray's fans during the match. She added that Galatasaray's senior coach showed an obscene gesture to the players and the coaching staff of the guest team.

"At the moment we do not have a confirmation of this situation from other sources, but if such [events] could have happened, though it is very hard to believe in, because such behavior does not pertain to sportsmen, then there is obviously a possibility of an official response," Peskov told reporters.

The information is being verified at the moment, the spokesman added.

Russian-Turkish relations deteriorated following the downing of the Russian Su-24 aircraft by a Turkish F-16 fighter in Syria on November 24, 2015. In response to Ankara's move Moscow imposed a number of restrictive measures on Turkey.
