Has Helicopter Money Arrived in Japan? Can the ECB Do the Same for Europe?
08:56 GMT 29.03.2016 (Updated: 09:28 GMT 29.03.2016) On today’s episode of Double Down, hosts Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert are joined by investor and author, Mitch Feierstein of PlanetPonzi.com to discuss the latest central bank attempts to get credit flowing.
The past week has seen new central bank measures to get the economy growing. In Europe, the ECB has expanded their QE programme by €20 billion per month and cut rates into deeper negative territory. In Japan, however, we see the first signs of what some say is ‘helicopter money’ being injected directly into the credit system. To discuss the issue, Max and Stacy are joined by Mitch Feierstein, author of Planet Ponzi.
