WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Secretary of State John Kerry met with Russian young professionals during a roundtable event in Moscow on Wednesday, the US Department of State said in a press release.
"I’m really very happy to meet with all of you, because you are the future, and because you’re all engaged in exciting endeavours to try to do new things, break through, be entrepreneurs," Kerry stated.
The State Department explained the event provided an opportunity for Kerry to learn how young Russians, including entrepreneurs, bloggers and civil society members, think.
Earlier on Wednesday, Kerry landed in Moscow for a two-day visit, which will include meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
