MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The European Union should boost its investment in Africa to prevent further escalation of the refugee crisis, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Wednesday.
"We are undergoing a crisis, it is true, we need to form a partnership at a very high level between Europe and Africa, which is a continent with a big future, and if we want to avert the worsening of the refugee crisis, Europe has to invest more then ever in Africa," he said at a joint press conference with European Commission's President Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels.
