Obama Calls Current Visit to Cuba a ‘Historic Opportunity’
Relations between the United States and Cuba began to improve after Obama announced in December 2014 a historic change in US policy, including the loosening of restrictions on travel and trade imposed on the Caribbean island nation.

The US leader arrived in the Cuban capital on Sunday afternoon, a first visit by a sitting US president to Cuba since Calvin Coolidge sailed in Havana aboard a US battleship in 1928.
