Governorate of Istanbul postponed a derby between the two largest Istanbul football clubs due to safety concerns, local media reported Sunday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The match between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray football clubs was postponed over "serious security threat," Daily Sabah newspaper reported.

On Saturday, a suicide blast ripped through a major tourist street in Istanbul, killing five people including the attacker, and injuring at least 36 others.

On March 13, a car bomb exploded at a bus stop near Ankara’s central Kizilay square, leaving 37 dead and over 120 injured.
