The Spanish Foreign Ministry confirmed to Sputnik on Saturday that two Spanish citizens were among the crew members of the crashed FlyDubai Boeing in Russia.

FlyDubai Boeing Crashes in Russia: What We Know So Far
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, FlyDubai Boeing 737-800 plane coming from Dubai crashed while attempting landing amid poor weather conditions at the Rostov-on-Don Airport (ROV), leaving no survivors.

According to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, six out of seven crew members were foreigners.

"We know that the two crew members were Spaniards. We know their names," Antonio Casado, the diplomat on duty at the ministry, said.

He added that the relatives of one of the dead were informed, while the ministry could not establish contact with the relatives of the other.
