Myanmar Military Releases 46 Child Soldiers
BANGKOK (Sputnik) The Myanmar Parliament has elected university professor Htin Kyaw, an aide to opposition leader and Nobel Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi, the country’s new president.

Htin Kyaw, 69, is the first non-military president of the country since the 1962 military coup.

Htin Kyaw will be sworn in as president on March 31.
