Iran Condemns GCC’s Decision to Designate Hezbollah Terrorist Group
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Earlier in the day, six Gulf monarchies labeled Hezbollah a terrorist group, for "hostile acts" against the Sunni Muslim dominated council, including by recruiting youth to carry out "terrorist attacks, smuggling weapons and explosives, stirring up sedition and incitement to chaos and violence."

"I believe that the relations with Lebanon may continue to worsen. I think that in the future there may be the aggravating decisions up to an appeal to the UN Security Council. I do not exclude such a step," Zuhair Harisi said.

Hezbollah, established in the 1980s, is a paramilitary and political organization originating in Lebanon's Shiite population. The group's primary goal was military opposition to Israel's occupation of the country.
