MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A tourist bus fell into a gorge in the state of Durango in northern Mexico, leaving 12 people dead, the state's Civil Protection Unit said in a statement on Sunday.
"At the moment, 12 people were killed in a bus accident in Mapimi. Rescue operations are underway," the statement on Twitter read.
In addition, it was reported that 40 people had been in the bus. Tourists' nationality remains undisclosed.
