Egyptian Leisure charter airline is expected to place a firm order with Russia’s Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (CJSC) next month for four Superjet 100 passenger planes, the vice president of the Russian association of aircraft manufacturers said Tuesday.

SINGAPORE, February 16 (Sputnik) — CJSC and the Cairo-based airline signed a deal in early February. The manufacturer expects firm orders for four Superjet 100s plus six options, said Vladislav Masalov, the vice president of the state-run United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), which unites over 30 companies.

"I think that we are going to substantiate the agreement. It is all about financing now," Masalov told reporters at the Singapore Airshow 2016.

The Superjet 100 is a twin-engine regional passenger airliner that made its maiden flight in 2008 and was first commercialized in 2011. According to CJSC, a total of 64 SSJ100s are currently in operation, most of them in Russia.

UAC and its member companies are participating in the Singapore Airshow 2016, Asia's largest aerospace and defense expo that will run through Sunday.
