CAIRO (Sputnik) – The data of the audio recorders on board of Russia’s aircraft that crashed in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula in October, will be sent abroad for further study, the minister said, as cited by the MENA news agency. According to the minister, no versions of the catastrophe could be excluded.

Russia suspended flights to and from Egypt after the Russian-operated Airbus A321 crashed en route from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg on October 31, killing all 224 people on board. Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said a terrorist attack had led to the tragedy.

In late 2015, Russian experts traveled to Egypt to work on strengthening airport security, which Moscow considers key to removing its flights ban.

According to Kamal, flights between Egypt and Russia are expected to be restored within the first half of 2016.
