According to the Russian Embassy in Thailand, local authorities arrested a Russian citizen who was placed on the international wanted list for attempted drug trafficking.

BANGKOK (Sputnik) — A Russian national placed on the international wanted list for an attempt to sell drugs has been arrested by Thai police, a counsellor at the Russian Embassy in Thailand said Sunday.

Thailand to Supply Russia With Food in Exchange for Military Equipment
"Toropchinov Vladimir Valerievich, born in 1987 in [the Russian eastern] Kamchatka region, wanted on charges of committing an attempt on the illegal sale of drugs on a large scale as part of an organized criminal group, was detained by Thai police in cooperation with the Russian Interpol and the Russian Embassy in Thailand," Vladimir Sosnov told RIA Novosti.

Sosnov added that the detained would be deported to Moscow in the nearest future.

Toropchinov was placed on the international wanted list in January 2015.
