NATO to Boost Presence in Eastern Part of Alliance - Stoltenberg
BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — NATO is implementing the biggest increase in bloc's defense in a post-Cold War period, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Wednesday.

On February 10-11, a meeting of NATO ministers of defense is taking place in Brussels.

"We are implementing the most significant boost to our collective defence since the end of the Cold War," Stoltenberg said, as quoted by the official NATO website.

Stoltenberg also welcomed the US plans to increase defense spending and military presence in Europe.
