Israel May Toughen Law on NGOs With Foreign Funding
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The draft bill was supported by 50 lawmakers, while 43 politicians opposed it, The Times of Israel newspaper said.

If passed in other two readings, the legislation would require NGOs receiving over 50 percent of its funding from a foreign state to make their financial details public.

The law will affect primarily left-wing groups funded by European states and has been previously criticized by Brussels.
