At Least Three Killed in Shootout Involving US Police in Texas

At least three people were killed in a shootout involving the police in the US state of Texas, local media reported citing the police.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the News 4 San Antonio channel, the incident began Friday afternoon, while the standoff continued into Saturday. One suspect had fired at the police officers.

"It's a mess in there right now," a deputy with the Uvalde County Sheriff's Office told the channel, confirming that the standoff was over.

Other local media outlets put the number of casualties at four.

The incident was reported to have taken place inside a small mobile home park.
