MOSCOW (Sputnik) — All of the Russian national team's preparation plans for the 2016 Olympic Games will be implemented in full, head of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov said Friday.
Last month, Russia’s Central Bank revoked the license of Vneshprombank, where the committee held funds related to the organization's current operating activities, citing the bank’s failure to comply with its regulations.
"I can say only one thing — it will not affect the preparation of our athletes for the Olympic Games in Rio. All our plans relating to the training of our athletes and to the trip to Rio, everything will be done in full," Zhukov told reporters.
Rio de Janeiro will host the Summer Olympic Games on August 5-21, 2016.
