GENEVA (Sputnik), Daria Chernyshova – Everyone, who was invited to the Geneva intra-Syria talks by the United Nations and UN Special Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, was provided with Swiss visas to enter the country, a spokesman for the Swiss Foreign Ministry told Sputnik Tuesday.
"We accept every participant who arrives, if they were invited by the UN or Special Envoy de Mistura to join the talks, they are given visas," Jean-Marc Crevoisier said.
He noted there were some difficult cases with issuing visas to some delegates, yet they all received the entry permissions.
On Friday, the highly-anticipated talks on Syrian reconciliation mediated by the United Nations began in the Swiss city in line with the December UN Security Council's resolution on Syrian settlement, that ruled to bring the entire spectrum of political groups in the crisis-torn country to the negotiating table.
