ABU DHABI (Sputnik) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday he had discussed the situation in the Middle East and the terrorist threat with his UAE counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"We held a detailed discussion on the situation in the region. Special attention is given to security issues during our talks. The situation in the Middle East and North Africa remains very tense, first and foremost as a result of an unprecedented surge of the terrorism threat," Lavrov said following the meeting.
