MOSCOW (Sputnik) On Tuesday, the Russian Federation Council delegation headed by Matvienko begins its official visit in Israel.

"The fact is that relations between Russia and Israel are not burdened by any insurmountable problems, even more so conflicts… these relations develop in the line of ascent, no doubt," Matvienko told RIA Novosti in an interview.

The Russian speaker added that Russia and Israel have been equal partners demonstrating the high efficiency of cooperation on key areas of international policy and bilateral issues.

The year of 2016 marks the 25th anniversary of restoring diplomatic ties between Moscow and Tel Aviv, which has been the most fruitful period between the states, according to Matvienko.
