MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia separates its territorial dispute with Japan and the peace treaty issue, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Tuesday.
"We do not believe that a peace treaty is synonymous with a solution to the territorial dispute. This is a step that is necessary to ensure that our relations are normal not only de facto, but also legally," Lavrov told reporters.
